Peter Crouch's own goal was enough to send Manchester City into the Champions League with a 1-0 win over Tottenham.

The man who found the net to give Spurs a place in Europe's number one competition this season, turned James Milner's cross into his own net after half an hour to ensure City will be among the elite next term.

City lived on their nerves at the end but it was they who came closest to grabbing a second when William Gallas brilliantly turned away a goalbound Patrick Vieira header.
