Harry Kane's evolution into a provider as well as a natural goalscorer has been pronounced this season, to say the very least.

While the England captain has been playing alongside Son Heung-min for years, their connection has seemingly hit almost a telepathic new level of late and they now trail only Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard in terms of being recognised as the Premier League's most deadly duo

Eight assists already this season, Kane's lengthy lay-off after his hamstring injury away at Southampton in January coupled with the coronavirus shutdown in March look to have freshened him up somewhat and the underlying stats certainly back that up.

Indeed, his tally equates to 1.27 assists per 90 (8 in 570 minutes) which actually sees him rank highest of any player in the Premier League in that particular metric since 26 July 2020. In fact, no regular starter across Europe's top five leagues can match it.

While maintaining that across the whole campaign is obviously going to be rather difficult (for context, Andy Carroll and Kevin De Bruyne had the highest assists per 90 last season and both were well under one) Spurs certainly have the firepower to help.

Son, clearly, is a lethal finisher given his exploits this season while Gareth Bale's first goal is encouraging as Jose Mourinho's attacking options - the men even he believes are his best ever - flank the ridiculously productive Kane.

Harry Kane's evolution is one of the most interesting stories of the season and Tottenham could well be benefiting in a way few teams have experienced before.
