Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini has his eyes on third spot in the Barclays Premier League after club confirmed a Champions League spot with victory over Tottenham Hotspur.

Peter Crouch's own goal at Eastlands means City are confirmed participants in Europe's premier club competition next season, as they went seven points clear of Liverpool, and nine clear of Spurs.

But Mancini has eyes for third placed Arsenal, who City lie just two points behind.

"Everything is possible in two games, but we throw out the window three points on Saturday after we play a fantastic game against Everton, I'm not sure how it is possible that we lose that game," he said.

"But we want to try. At this time it is important that we recover these next two days, our strength for the final.

"For me it is an important moment because I am sure that all our supporters, all the people that work in the club are very happy because we work for one year, we work very hard and we are very happy.

"I congratulate all the players because I think that they did a fantastic Barclays Premier League, we've got fourth position now and we have another two games."
