Manchester City will sign Samuel Eto'o this summer, if they can stump up £45m for the Cameroon striker.

Inter Milan have put the hefty price tag on the star man in fear of losing the striker this summer.

However City have not shirked away from making big money signings in the past, and after Harry Redknapp said the club had plotted some transfer that would 'blow your brains out' a move for the 30-year-old may not be out of the question.

Inter's president Massimo Moratti told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "If a club is interested in Samuel Eto'o they will have to pay £45m. A lower offer will not even be considered."

City beat Tottenham at Eastlands on Tuesday to guarantee qualification to the Champions League for next season, a move that will further enhance their claim that they can compete at the top end of European football.

With Eto'o maybe going to England, rumours will surely swell of Carlos Tevez's future after City boss Roberto Mancini revealed the Argentine forward wants to move to Italy.
