Leeds United look set for a bright future.

After 16 years spent in the wilderness of the English Football League the Whites finally made their return to the Premier League last term.

Winning the league by 10 clear points, Marcelo Bielsa looks to have brought the fear back to Elland Road - something which other clubs will be very wary of.

This term Leeds have really kicked on.

A successful summer transfer window saw the club bring in the likes of Robin Koch, Diego Llorente, Rodrigo and Raphinha; four players who will undoubtedly help them to pick up results this term.

They also signed Cody Drameh, Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood who are all tipped for a very bright future at the club.

Signing players for the future is a big part of the gameplan in west Yorkshire, and that's why they've continually been linked with talented youngsters from all over the world.

One of those players is Sam Campbell.

The 16-year-old defender is regarded as one of the hottest prospects in Scotland at the moment and is top of the list of Victor Orta and his recruitment team.

According to Football Insider, they might face a battle to get a deal done.

As well as attracting interest from Liverpool and Brighton, Campbell's current club Motherwell are also stepping up their efforts to keep him at the club by offering the youngster a new contract.

Whether this will stop Leeds from getting their man remains to be seen, but it'll be interesting to see what decision the talented youngster makes.

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

Leeds United seem to be doing everything right at the moment.

The last two years under Marcelo Bielsa have completely transformed the club's fortunes both on and off the pitch.

Immediate success has been well received by supporters, but this is not quick fix.

The Whites are firmly focused on building a club that can build success in the long run and that's why they're so keen to sign such talented young players.

Sam Campbell is just one of a number of players being linked with the club at youth level, and if a deal does get done then it will just be another example of the good work being done for the future of the club.
