West Ham United could be a surprise package this season.
Last season was hugely disappointing for supporters as the Hammers endured a basement battle in the Premier League that only saw them move to safety in the final week of the season.
But this time around seems to be a marked improvement.
The Irons have picked up eight points from their opening seven games - a decent tally considering the difficult run of fixtures that the east London side faced at the start of the season.
Now the hope is that they can kick on.
David Moyes made some shrewd additions over the summer months that appear to have helped the club move forward.
Tomas Soucek arrived on a permanent deal after his loan switch, while Vladimir Coufal, Craig Dawson and Said Benrahma also completed moves to the London Stadium.
But with less than two months until the January transfer window it seems that the Hammers are already planning more signings.
Reports from the Daily Mail have claimed that West Ham are in talks with Frederick Alves Ibsen.
The 20-year-old has a wealth of experience for his age having made 45 appearances for Danish side Silkeborg.
A defender by trade, Ibsen plays predominantly as a centre-back but can also play as full-back.
It's thought that the Denmark under-21 has been in London this week as he looks to iron out the details over a January move.
That deal would cost in the region of £1.2million - a fee that would no doubt be appealing to the Hammers.

This would be another step in the right direction.
Frederick Alves Ibsen is a players with an excellent reputation in Denmark.
At 20 years of age he's a player who could have a very bright future in the game and the Hammers will be keen to develop that talent.
If they can get a deal over the line I'm sure that David Moyes will be very happy.
