Leeds United endured a difficult evening against Leicester City on Monday.

While the club have looked very good in the opening weeks of the season things seemed to unravel as they welcomed Brendan Rodgers' side to Elland Road on Monday night.

A heavy defeat was a real blow in a contest that saw the White struggle to contain the Foxes.

The evening was summed up when Pablo Hernandez appeared to be upset after being taken off in the second half against Leicester.

While showing passion is clearly a good thing, Dominic Matteo suggested that Marcelo Bielsa needs to address the issue after a show of 'stroppiness'.

Writing for the Yorkshire Evening Post, Matteo said: "Leicester were better than us defensively, got up to the ball better than us which is very unusual to see, and they denied Pablo Hernandez the space and time to do what he can do.

"It was interesting to see his reaction after the substitution because you don’t normally associate that kind of stroppiness with him, or expect him to throw his toys out for not getting the game time he thinks he deserves perhaps.

"When you play for a Bielsa team, everyone is in the same boat, they all have to put a shift in and they all have to do their job and they all know he will change it if it’s not working.

"When you see him going off, showing his frustration like that, it suggests he might not be happy with his game time, particularly given his age and the stage of his career he has reached.

"He will think he can bring more to the table than he did and he’s entitled to be disappointed, there’s nothing wrong with that, but his reaction didn’t look good to me.

"That would be something they’ll have to speak about."

GIVEMESPORT'S Phil Spencer says...

The reaction of Pablo Hernandez was hardly a surprise.

Leeds United struggled to compete against Leicester City and that's the reason why they suffered such a poor result.

Every player on the pitch will have been frustrated with their performance, including Hernandez.

After coming off the veteran will have been annoyed at himself that he was unable to impact the game - that's why his reaction will have been as such.

Of course it's not pleasant to see but I'm sure that Marcelo Bielsa won't complain about his players showing such passion.
