GIVEMESPORT'S JAMES STROUD SAYS:

I do have some sympathy for Newcastle fans when it comes to Wilson.

He has been tremendous so far this season and I'd go as far as saying he's won them many points this campaign almost single handedly.

He's a player with England pedigree and I agree he deserved to add to his four caps.

I don't share the same feelings about Darlow, though.

Karl Darlow in action for Newcastle

The 30-year-old has been in great form for Newcastle so far this season. There's no doubt he's in better form than Pickford.

But I don't think he's played enough games to warrant a selection. After all, he has only played four Premier League games for Newcastle this season.

However, if he keeps up his level of performances, then he should be in Southgate's side next year.
