Liverpool's record at Anfield is simply staggering.

The Reds have accrued some astonishing records during Jurgen Klopp's lucrative tenure, but their near-impregnability on Merseyside has been one of the most important strings in their bow.

Liverpool have now gone a mind-blowing 63 consecutive games at home in England's top-flight without suffering defeat and only three draws have cropped up in the last two seasons to boot.

Liverpool's insane home record

As a result, none of their Premier League counterparts are closer to their unbeaten streak than 60 matches, which is more than one and a half seasons.

It's becoming tougher and tougher for teams to maintain strong records at home during the COVID-19 pandemic as they can no longer rely on their 12th man to drive them onto results.

Consequently, Liverpool's continuation of their invincible streak is all the more impressive, but lest we forget that things haven't always been plain sailing for the club under Klopp's management.

Klopp has always thrived at Anfield

As we all know, Klopp's achievements at the club have been a result of building a long-term project and that meant that Kopites had to put up with some disappointing defeats in the early stages.

However, while that cannot be disputed, one thing that Klopp has delivered to a world-class degree since day one at Anfield is that near-invincibility at home in the Premier League.

In fact, Liverpool have lost just four league games at Anfield since Klopp took charge in 2015.

Just four defeats in five years

Uh huh. Five years. Four losses. That means Liverpool only average a home defeat every 450 days with their German talisman in the dugout.

Bearing that in mind, we have been inspired by The Anfield Wrap to reflect upon the quartet of losses and more specifically, the only four managers to have masterminded Klopp on his own turf.

Besides, what makes this rare achievement all the more intriguing is that only one of the four currently hold a permanent position and two of them have been inactive for years.

The only four managers to win at Anfield

Curious yet? Well, wait no longer and check out the four coaches who have pulled it off below:

1. Alan Pardew - Liverpool 1-2 Crystal Palace (08/11/2015)

We're off to a classy start with Pardew becoming the first manager to knick three points off Klopp at Anfield with goals from Yannick Bolasie and Scott Dann either side of Philippe Coutinho's strike.

Pardew also happens to one of the four managers to have held a position in 2020, although the less said about his last two jobs at West Bromwich Albion and ADO Den Haag the better.

2. Louis van Gaal - Liverpool 0-1 Manchester United (17/01/2016)

Comfortably the most decorated coach on the list, the now-retired Van Gaal managed to secure a rather unaesthetic victory on Merseyside with Wayne Rooney scoring a 78th-minute winner.

This also happens to be the only instance out of the four where the victorious team managed to prevent the heavy-metal football of Klopp from finding the net at the other end.

3. Paul Clement - Liverpool 2-3 Swansea City (21/01/2017)

Having gone more than a year with a superb league record at Anfield, Liverpool arguably suffered their most embarrassing home loss at Anfield with Gylfi Sigurdsson bagging a late winner.

Clement is the only manager of the four who is currently employed, though taking command of Cercle Brugge hardly reflects his potential as an assistant at Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

4. Sam Allardyce - Liverpool 1-2 Crystal Palace (23/04/2017)

Who else??? Who else??? Of course it was 'Big Sam' who was the last manager to win at Anfield, commanding the Eagles to a shocking 2-1 victory courtesy of Christian Benteke's double.

Credit to Palace for boasting two slots in this exclusive club, but things haven't gone well for their then-manager Allardyce since with the Englishman having been unemployed for two years now.

An unlikely bunch

You couldn't write it, could you?

Klopp has welcomed the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, Mauricio Pochettino and Antonio Conte to Anfield during his five-year tenure, but it's these four who have pulled off the impossible.

Just when you thought the fashion of appointing managers like Pardew and Allardyce had ended, perhaps this is the statistical prompt clubs have been waiting for to get the old guard back in.

Clearly, the secret to beating Liverpool at Anfield is to hoof the ball forward and preferably have an old-fashioned Englishman barking orders from the sideline. Who'd have thought it?
