Everton look like the real deal this term.
Improvements started showing last season after Carlo Ancelotti was appointed as head coach of the club.
But few predicted the way in which they would kick on.
The Toffees have made an excellent start to the new season and find themselves in fourth place in the Premier League.
A large part of this has been down to the summer recruitment, with players such as Abdoulaye Doucoure, Allan and James Rodriguez joining the club.
Those deals have been real signals of intent, and according to reports another big name could be heading for Goodison Park.
Reports in recent days have claimed that Everton are looking to bring Isco to the club on a loan deal from Real Madrid.
Discussing the potential move, Kevin Phillips believes that such a deal would be 'fantastic' for the club and supporters.
Speaking to Football Insider, Phillips said: “It would be a fantastic signing.
“It just goes to show the pull of Carlo Ancelotti.
“Any player in the world watching the start that Everton have made this season and watching the football they have played would be interested in joining them.
“They have got some great players – Rodriguez, Allan, Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, who is on fire, and one of the best managers in the world.
“For a player of that calibre to want to join your club, if I am an Everton fan I would be excited.
“A lot of it has to do with the manager, he would be a big influence if Isco ends up at Goodison Park in January.”

This would be an unreal signing for Everton.
Things are certainly looking up at Goodison Park this term with the Toffees appearing to be the real deal.
A move for Isco is very exciting.
The Real Madrid man is one of the best strikers in Europe and so bringing him to the Premier League would be a real statement.
Seeing him in a side alongside the likes of James Rodriguez and Allan is very, very exciting.
Of course there's little to suggest that a move will happen right now, but with Carlo Ancelotti in charge you'd be foolish to bet against it.
