We got the full package from Sergio Ramos during Real Madrid's 3-2 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League.

The defender scored Los Blancos' second of the night, in doing so notching up his 100th goal for the club.

That's an extraordinary record for a centre-back, bolstered by his impeccable run of penalties.

The 34-year-old hasn't lost any of his lust for the game either, as he also demonstrated the *other* side to his persona against the Nerazzurri.

Ramos was seen ranting at his former teammate, Achraf Hakimi, telling the full-back to "stop screaming like a rat".

The Spanish international so often attracts attention for his volatile behaviour, but his brilliance in defence shouldn't get lost in all that.

Yes, he's the master of the dark arts. But he is also up there with the very best.

In fact, when Marca decided to ask the question of who can be considered the best centre-back of all time, Ramos won by an incredible margin.

Here are the results in full:

  • Sergio Ramos - 74%
  • Franz Beckenbauer - 18%
  • Franco Baresi - 4%
  • Ronald Koeman - 2%
  • Fabio Cannavaro - 1%
  • Daniel Passarella - 1%
  • Bobby Moore - 0%
  • Marcel Desailly - 0%
  • Matthias Sammer - 0%

Isn't democracy wonderful?

We all love to see a straightforward voting process with an immediate clear winner. No-one will be taking this one to the Supreme Court, that's for sure. But we have a sneaking suspicion Real fans may have hijacked the poll here.

The 1996 Ballon d'Or winner, Matthias Sammer, England's World Cup winning captain Bobby Moore, and the legendary French World Cup winner Marcel Desailly all got a grand total of 0% of the votes.

Meanwhile, the one and only Kaiser only picked up an 18% share.

The likes of Paolo Maldini weren't even on the ballot.

Then again, Ramos' advocates will point to the fact he's made 461 appearances during Real's period of unprecedented European supremacy.

With his club, he's won five La Liga titles, two Copas del Rey, four Champions League titles and four Club World Cups.

For Spain, you can throw a World Cup and two European Championships in there. His CV really is second to none.

It still seems a stretch for him to win by such a landslide.
