Brace yourselves, the international break is coming.

The dreaded two-week domestic sabbatical is now just days away, meaning us Fantasy Premier League players really have to make the most of this weekend's action.

Thankfully, the games on offer are brilliant. Brighton and Burnley kick off GW8 this evening at 17:30 sharp, with Southampton taking on Newcastle at 20:00.

Saturday sees Everton host Manchester United at 12:30, before Chelsea face struggling Sheffield United at 17:30.

We end GW8 with a feast of football on Sunday. West Brom vs Spurs, Leicester vs Wolves, Man City vs Liverpool AND Arsenal vs Aston Villa all in one day? Bring. It. On.

The Premier League trophy

It's going to be a huge week in the FPL universe, so let's take a look at seven players that are going to have a big say this weekend...

Kevin De Bruyne vs Liverpool (H) - £11.5m

Bringing in De Bruyne, the fifth most expensive player in FPL 2020/21, before a game against the table-topping champions? You betcha!

The brilliant Belgian playmaker has looked back to his best in recent games and Liverpool have kept just one clean sheet in the Premier League this season.

Without Virgil van Dijk and Fabinho, we're banking on De Bruyne weaving his magic at the Etihad, blowing the title race wide open in the process.

Harry Kane vs West Brom (A) - £11.0m

If you're one of the few to not have Kane in your FPL squad, now is the time to suck it up and bring him in.

The Spurs striker scored his 200th goal for the club away at Ludogorets last night and is possibly playing the best football of his glittering career.

When one of the best strikers in the world is in-form and on penalty duties against a team with 'relegation' written all over them, you have to hand that player the captain's armband.

Tammy Abraham vs Sheffield United (H) - £7.2m

With Kai Havertz absent after contracting Covid-19 and Christian Pulisic still not fully fit, Abraham will likely be handed another chance to shine by Frank Lampard.

The English striker picked up an assist in Chelsea's 3-0 win away at Burnley and worked very well in tandem with Timo Werner.

As the potential focal point of attack against Sheffield United, Abraham is primed for a double-figure points haul in GW8.

Jarrod Bowen vs Fulham (H) - £6.3m

Bowen has been a revelation for West Ham this season, with three goals in his first seven games.

Every time the Hammers play, all their good play seems to flow through the former Hull City man, which is why we're backing him to do the business in this weekend's London derby.

Fulham looked far more solid in their 2-0 win over West Brom, but we don't think they have quite enough to stop Bowen delivering goals and assists at the London Stadium.

Hector Bellerin vs Aston Villa (H) - £5.1m

In the latter years of the Arsene Wenger era and during the majority of Unai Emery's reign, we would never have backed an Arsenal defender.

But Mikel Arteta's side boast the best defensive record in the Premier League right now and Bellerin looks a player reborn, with three assists to his name already this season.

Attacking returns against a frail Villa defence looks a pretty safe bet and given this is Arteta's Arsenal, a clean sheet to go with them looks on the cards too.

Kurt Zouma vs Sheffield United (H) - £5.3m

Edouard Mendy, Thiago Silva, Ben Chilwell and Zouma have turned Chelsea into a fearsome defensive unit after the club's average start to the season.

The Blues have kept back-to-back clean sheets in the Premier League and Zouma also grabbed a goal in the win over Burnley last weekend.

Given he's still relatively cheap and a guaranteed starter against a Sheffield United side with one of the bluntest attacks in the league, you'd be a fool not to bring in the Frenchman.

Tariq Lamptey vs Burnley (H) - £4.7m

Here's one for you bargain lovers out there.

Brighton aren't fond of keeping clean sheets and that trend will likely continue tonight, but Lamptey's threat going forward is just too strong to ignore.

The former Chelsea man has been one of the stars of the Premier League so far this season, so if you need to penny-pinch when making transfers today, the 20-year-old is the way forward.
