It's now or never for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as Manchester United travel to Everton.

The Norwegian heads to Goodison Park in the knowledge that a fifth defeat of the season in all competitions could spell the end of his tenure as manager.

The Manchester Evening News reported on Thursday that the club have already approached former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino about taking over, so Solskjaer cannot afford for his players to let him down on Merseyside.

With that in mind, he has made a number of changes to the side that lost 2-1 to Istanbul Basaksehir in the Champions League in midweek.

David de Gea comes in for Dean Henderson in goal, while Anthony Martial returns to domestic action following his suspension for striking Erik Lamela in the 6-1 defeat to Spurs.

Here's how United line up:

De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw, McTominay, Fred, Mata, Fernandes, Rashford, Martial.

There is still no start for summer signing Donny van de Beek, but Victor Lindelof returns following a back problem.

The Red Devils have found some respite on the road this term, despite not having won a league game at Old Trafford in the 2020/21 campaign.

Solskjaer will have to hope that continues.
