Manchester United bounced back to winning ways with an impressive 3-1 victory over Everton on Saturday afternoon.Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and his players were under pressure following back-to-back defeats against Arsenal and Istanbul Basaksehir. And it was Everton who took the lead against the Red Devils at Goodison Park thanks to Bernard’s 19th-minute opener.Defeat would have left United perilously close to the relegation zone, but Bruno Fernandes turned the game on its head with two goals in seven first-half minutes. The talismanic Portuguese midfielder then set up Edinson Cavani for his first United goal in stoppage time.Fernandes may have completed his hat-trick if United had been awarded a penalty on the hour-mark.Harry Maguire was clattered by a combination of Jordan Pickford and Michael Keane inside the Everton box - but to the surprise of many, referee Paul Tierney allowed play to continue.

According to The Athletic, VAR official Michael Oliver also felt there was insufficient contact on Maguire to award a penalty.

One man who clearly concurred with the decision not to award Maguire a penalty was Everton captain Seamus Coleman.

With no fans inside Goodison Park, the pitch-side microphones picked up Coleman screaming some abuse at Maguire.

Coleman, who clearly felt that Maguire had dived in an attempt to win a penalty, let the United skipper know in no uncertain terms how he felt after making a 'get up' gesture.

When Coleman watches the incident back, he might regret his comments.

Maguire had every right to feel hard done by, while Pickford and Keane were fortunate to escape punishment.
