Yesterday's Der Klassiker was an instant 'Klassik'.German champions Bayern Munich made the trip to face Borussia Dortmund and Hansi Flick's all-conquering side emerged with a narrow 3-2 victory.Marco Reus gave Dortmund the lead with a well-taken finish in the 45th minute, but David Alaba saw to it that the teams went in at the break level, the Austrian converting from a well-worked free-kick routine.Bayern then grabbed the game by the scruff of the neck in the second half, romping into a 3-1 lead thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski (when doesn't he score) and summer signing Leroy Sane.Dortmund did manage to halve the deficit on 83 minutes through their very own Lewandowski, Erling Braut Haaland.Haaland challenges AlabaThe Norwegian latched on to an inch-perfect through ball from Raphael Guerreiro, before effortlessly rounding Manuel Neuer to tap home.It may not sound like the greatest goal of all time from that description, but when you watch the slow-motion footage found below, you'll understand.Honestly, we can't stop pressing the replay button...

Haaland's goal vs Bayern Munich in slow-motion

It really is poetry in motion.

The level of performance Haaland is consistently producing is just not right for a 20-year-old and he now has 11 goals in 11 games Dortmund this season - including four in just three Champions League appearances.

Haaland is already one of the world's best and during the first half against Bayern, the Norwegian also proved he's a tough ol' cookie as well.

Joshua Kimmich tried to bring the Dortmund striker down with a rash tackle, but couldn't bring dow the giant striker and actually ended up injuring himself.

Kimmich vs Haaland

We hope Kimmich makes a full recovery as soon as possible. However, there's still no excusing his dangerous tackle and it's lucky Haaland wasn't seriously injured too.

So yeah, it really was a Der Klassiker that had it all. Bags of drama, great goals and even a bit of VAR controversy for good measure.
