Bruno Fernandes was sensational in Manchester United’s 3-1 win against Everton on Saturday.

The Portuguese playmaker scored twice in the first half and set up Edinson Cavani’s late goal as United secured a crucial three points at Goodison Park.

Fernandes has been a huge success since joining United from Sporting Lisbon in January.

In 21 Premier League goals, he has 13 goals and 10 assists. He’s made quite the impact.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has also been impressed by Fernandes’ leadership skills, rewarding him with the captain’s armband in United’s Champions League encounter against Paris Saint-Germain last month.

But despite his masterclass against Everton, there was an area of his performance which left his manager ‘frustrated’.

Solskjaer heaped praise on Fernandes but admitted he wasn’t happy with the 26-year-old’s positioning during the win.

The United boss told MUTV, per the Mirror: “Great performance. Of course leading the boys, there’s desire and determination. He’s everywhere on the pitch!

"Sometimes that frustrates me, because sometimes there’s passes being played where he should have been and he’s not there.

"But you know when you’ve got someone who drives them on like this, of course you’re very happy."

Meanwhile, United captain Harry Maguire was pleased to see Fernandes bounce back from his sub-par performance against Istanbul Basaksehir.

“Bruno was excellent today," Maguire said. "He came under a little bit of stick on Wednesday night.

"But he’s a big character, he’s a big leader, and he’s reacted brilliantly. And that’s only what he does.

"He does his talking on the pitch and I’m delighted that he’s got a couple of goals - or whatever you want to call it, a goal and an assist. But he was brilliant out there and helped us get the victory."
