Roy Keane is one of the most entertaining pundits on TV.The Manchester United legend certainly hasn’t lost any of his fear factor since hanging up his boots.He’s still just as terrifying now as he was two decades ago.Unlike other pundits, Keane is never scared to say what he really thinks - even if it upsets people.He can sometimes be brutal with his opinions, but this is the reason he’s so watchable.
Keane was on punditry duty for Sky Sports on Sunday ahead of the Premier League clash between Manchester City and Liverpool.And there was a brilliant moment early in the afternoon where Keane reacted to an interview that Man City midfielder Phil Foden had given.
Foden called Micah Richards, the former City defender-turned-pundit who know works alongside Keane at Sky, “world class”.Keane’s reaction to this comment was hilarious.“[Foden] came across really well in his interview,” Keane said, “obviously the stuff he said about Micah, he probably needs to be drug tested for that.”
Richards couldn’t help but burst out laughing at the dig.Watch it here…
The Keane-Richards bromance is one of the biggest surprises of 2020 but we’re all for it.
Richards was a good defender at his peak, but ‘world class’ is a bit of an exaggeration on Foden’s part.
Foden, on the other hand, certainly has the potential to become a world-class midfielder.
