Tottenham's late win over West Bromwich Albion temporarily took them top of the Premier League on Sunday.
It looked as though Jose Mourinho's side were to leave the Hawthorns frustrated before Harry Kane got on the end of Matt Doherty's cross in the 88th minute.
Kane's strike was his 150th in the Premier League.
However, for all his personal milestones, the striker will be hoping that can translate into silverware this season.
Mourinho has won 25 trophies in his career, so the Portuguese will be confident he is the man to end the club's 12-year drought.
The north Londoners look in much better shape than they did a year ago thanks to the depth added by summer signings Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Joe Hart, Matt Doherty, Sergio Reguilon, Gareth Bale, Carlos Vinicius and Joe Rodon.
Clean sheets have still been hard to come by - they've managed just two in the league - with Rodon the only centre-back to arrive.
And pundit Gabriel Agbonlahor believes Spurs' current defensive options could hold them back.
“You know what? I can’t say Spurs can’t win because it’s a strange season, it’s really strange. You win a game you move up four places you go down four places,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider.
“Spurs will be up there in the top four, but I just don’t see them winning the league because of their defence, I don’t think their defence is up to scratch, really, and they will concede goals.
“I look at their centre-backs and I just see there’s goals to be leaked there. They haven’t got that big centre-half who is going to get you out of trouble.
“[Toby] Alderweireld, [Davinson] Sanchez, [Eric] Dier, they’re okay defenders but I don’t think they’re the ones who are going to take Spurs to a title.”
Sanchez, in particular, has come in for criticism from some fans this season, especially in the wake of his own goal in the 3-3 draw with West Ham at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
It's testament to Spurs' progress that they are once again being talked about as contenders nonetheless.
