Manchester United returned to winning ways on the weekend as they defeated Everton 3-1 at Goodison Park.

It looked like it would be another bad day for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and United when the Toffees took the lead after 19 minutes through Bernard.

But United turned it around when Bruno Fernandes notched a quick-fire brace.

Edinson Cavani opened his account for the club in stoppage time to clinch all three points for the Red Devils.

Paul Pogba found himself starting on the bench once again.

It was the fifth time Pogba failed to make United's starting XI in their last seven matches.

And Phil Neville has slammed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's decision to continually leave the Frenchman out.

"I still think it’s absolutely disgraceful that Pogba can’t get in that team," Neville told Premier League Productions, per the Metro.

"For United to win a league, for United to be successful, for United to play the style of football that Ole wants them to play then Pogba has to play.

"You can play one of them [Nemanja] Matic, Fred or [Scott] McTominay and then you play Pogba with [Bruno] Fernandes."

When asked if Pogba can play in a deeper role, Neville replied: "Probably not no but I’d rather go out there and score goals, go out there and go for the win playing the Manchester United way with Pogba in the team.

"I know I’ve said about him wanting to leave, not wanting to be there and his inconsistencies but I still think he’s one of the best midfielders around. That’s why I’m thinking: Why is Paul Pogba not in that team?"

GIVEMESPORT'S JAMES STROUD SAYS:

On his day, Pogba is one of the best midfielders in the world.

But, unfortunately, he's extremely inconsistent. He looks a world beater one week and then awful the next.

To be honest, I think he doesn't deserve a place in the side every week given his recent performances.

But Solskjaer has to find a way to get the best out of him. When he can do that, Pogba will be the first name on the teamsheet.
