Bellingham vs Arminia Bielefeld

A central midfielder that always looks to pass the ball forward, wants to be in possession and can contribute defensively? He's the player Southgate's England team has been crying out for.

Former Chelsea and Three Lions player Karen Carney likened Bellingham to Patrick Vieira in her BBC Sport column back in September.

"He reminds me of a young Patrick Vieira, the former Arsenal and France midfielder, with how he tackles and plays from box to box," she wrote.

"He's fit, quick, powerful and he's shown he can score goals. I like him more when he is running from deep and getting into the box - like Frank Lampard used to do for England."

Bellingham in action

High praise indeed and if Bellingham can impress when handed his opportunity by Southgate, he may stand a chance of making England's Euro 2020 squad.
