A late Harry Kane winner cruelly snatched a welcome point away from West Brom’s survival bid this weekend and one pundit thinks the end will soon be here for Slaven Bilic. In what has proven to be a disappointing return to the Premier League for the former West Ham coach, Chris Kirkland told Football FanCast that he could see a situation where his former club axe the Croatian soon.Following the sale of Ahmed Hegazi, tension between Bilic and the club's board was reported and there were even suggestions more recently that Charlton manager Lee Bowyer could be in line for a move to the Hawthorns. Bilic, who guided the club to the Premier League in his first season back in England, has only been able to lead his side to a single victory across all competitions since the campaign kicked off and that came against Harrogate Town back in September. The third international break is generally regarded as a graveyard for managers and with Baggies in a perilous position, Kirkland believes we could soon see a decision made on his future.

'Yeah, you can see it,' he told the website.

''I mean, there are managers that have been sacked after four games, when they lose four on the spin. Yes, he got them up last season but that goes out of the window now.

“Listen, there’s always normally someone that goes in there around October, November time during the normal season but whether this is a normal season or not, I’m not sure.

“But I don’t think we’ll be too far away from seeing somebody face the sack soon if results go against them.”

After the break, West Brom have something of a free-hit away to Manchester United but then host Sheffield United in what already looks like a relegation six-pointer.

Crystal Palace then come to the Midlands so the fact whoever is in charge would have two home games to turn their form around ahead of the frantic festive schedule may well play into the thinking behind the scenes.
