West Ham have had a fine start to the Premier League season.

The club have faced a serious of horrible fixtures, taking on the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham Hotspur, and from those games they have managed to take two points, and only lost to the Reds because of a controversial VAR call.

They headed into the international break on the back of a victory, too, as they beat Fulham 1-0 after a late Tomas Soucek goal, coupled with an astonishing Ademola Lookman penalty miss.

It leaves them in 12th place in the league, just four points behind fifth-placed Chelsea.

They also face a rather soft run of fixtures after the international break, playing Sheffield United and Aston Villa before a game against Manchester United.

David Moyes has primarily deployed a five-at-the-back formation and that has seen some players fall out of favour, including Andriy Yarmolenko.

The winger has not started a game in the Premier League yet, being restricted to five substitute appearances totalling just 97 minutes.

And it appears that he could be on his way.

Sport Witness carries a report from Fotomac claiming that Fenerbahce are interested in snapping up the Ukraine international in the January transfer window.

They are keen to sign the Premier League player and have begun preliminary discussions within the club over the possible acquisition.

They are said to believe that Yarmolenko could adapt quickly to life in Turkey and that a loan deal is in the works.

Per Spotrac, he earns £115,000-per-week at the Hammers and this could be an opportunity to shift him from the wage bill.

GIVEMESPORT’S Harry Sherlock says…

West Ham shouldn’t be standing in Yarmolenko’s way here.

The winger hasn’t made much of an impact and is earning a huge salary to barely impact games.

In his 41 games at the Irons, he has scored nine goals and registered five assists, a return that simply isn’t good enough for a club with ambitions of climbing the Premier League table and finding themselves in contention for Europe.

If Fenerbahce are willing to take him, and are willing to pay his wages, the Irons should wave him a fond goodbye.

They should also look to include a clause in the deal meaning that the club will be forced to buy him in the summer; that gets him out of the door altogether.
