Barcelona and Juventus have been engaged in a bit of a Twitter feud in recent weeks. The two European giants came face-to-face in the Champions League at the end of October, a game initially billed as the return of 'Lionel Messi vs Cristiano Ronaldo'.Sadly, Ronaldo missed the game after testing positive for Covid-19, allowing his eternal rival to take centre stage in Turin.Messi assisted Ousmane Dembele's opening goal on the night and notched one of his own from penalty spot to seal a 2-0 win for the Blaugrana. It was a vintage performance from the Argentine and Barca made sure Juve were aware of that fact after the game by posting a very cheeky tweet (which you can see below).Barcelona's Messi tweetThey just couldn't help themselves. The two teams are scheduled to meet again in the Champions League on December 8, but it seems Barca couldn't wait another month to fire more shots at Juve.Late yesterday evening, the club's official Twitter account - which has 34.4m followers - decided to post a quite incredible free-kick stat concerning Messi and the Italian giants. The Spanish club signed the post with a caption that simply read: "Ratioed by Messi."

It is an absolutely outrageous stat.

In the past 10 seasons of football, Messi has scored 33 free-kicks, which is two more than Juventus as a team.

Ronaldo has only scored one free-kick during his two years with Juve, although the Portuguese legend has scored 46 at club level throughout his career - just one less than Messi.

When you factor in international football, Ronaldo is actually ahead in the free-kick department with 56 goals in total compared to Messi's 53.

However, the Argentine averages a free-kick goal every 16.6 games, while Ronaldo's is slightly more at every 18.3 games (stats courtesy of messivsronaldo.app).

But despite the pair being relatively close with regards to stats when it comes to set-pieces, there's simply no doubting that Messi is the superior player in the department.
