Lincoln City midfielder Jorge Grant has been named the GMS Fans’ League One Player of the Month for September and October.

In a vote run by fan engagement experts, Snack Media, Grant finished with an impressive 39.1% of the vote.

The 25-year-old has made a fast start to the season for the Imps, scoring six times and adding two assists as he’s helped Michael Appleton’s side battle near the top of League One.

Grant has looked at home in the English third tier since arriving from Nottingham Forest last summer but he has been at the peak of his powers through the first two months of the season.

The midfielder was named on the six-player shortlist for the award but emerged the clear winner with 39.1% of the public vote.

Lincoln teammate Lewis Montsma finished second with 25.7% of the vote, followed by Peterborough United forward Sikiri Dembele on 12.1%, Hull City midfielder George Honeyman on 8.4%, Ipswich Town forward Gwion Edwards on 8.1%, and Fleetwood Town goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler on 6.6%.
