Liverpool defender Joe Gomez has reportedly suffered a serious injury while away on international duty with England.
The Daily Mail report that Gomez is set for a spell on the sidelines after sustaining an injury during a training session at the Three Lions' St George's Park base ahead of the game against the Republic of Ireland on Thursday.
It adds to Liverpool's defensive woes, with Virgil van Dijk out with a long-term knee injury and Trent Alexander-Arnold out for four weeks due to a calf strain.
Meanwhile, Fabinho, who has appeared as a makeshift centre-back, is still to return from a thigh problem.

It's stated in the Mail's report that Gomez's injury is serious enough to rule him out of the forthcoming international games. England face Ireland on Thursday, Belgium on Sunday and Iceland next week.
But defending Premier League champions Liverpool now fear that Gomez will miss a significant part of their title defence.
Gomez's importance increased significantly upon Van Dijk's ACL injury suffered against Everton last month.
Klopp has turned to Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams to partner Gomez in recent weeks, and the two youngsters could be counted on more now.
Liverpool could, of course, turn to reinforcements in the January transfer window.
They have been linked with a host of names, including Schalke's Ozan Kabak, and it now seems a certainty that they will bring in another centre-back in January.
The Reds are gearing up for a hectic run of fixtures, something that Jurgen Klopp has already complained about.
"Hopefully we can play the Euros next summer but if we continue like this let's see which players can be part of that," Klopp said on Sunday, per the Mail
"We played [last month] after the international break at 12.30 on Saturday at Everton. Some of my players were coming back from Peru.
"These kind of things should not happen."
The Liverpool boss will be furious with Gomez's latest setback.
