Arsenal have not exactly been enjoying the best start to their Premier League season.
Mikel Arteta’s side have been wildly inconsistent and have yet to record a draw in the top-flight; they have won four games and lost four games.
Those losses have come against Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester City, and, most recently, Aston Villa.
The 3-0 defeat to Dean Smith’s side marked the nadir of Arteta’s reign to date, as the Gunners simply ran out of ideas against a team that only narrowly avoided relegation last season.
Arteta, of course, has made some big decisions while in charge of the Gunners and has even taken to exiling a couple of players.
Mesut Ozil, of course, has grabbed the headlines, but Sead Kolasinac has also struggled to get a game under the former Manchester City assistant.
He has played three times in the Europa League but, in the Premier League, he has made just one appearance, playing 90 minutes at centre-back in the win over West Ham United.
Since then, he was on the bench against Liverpool and has not been included in the squad for games against Sheffield United, Leicester City, Manchester United, or Aston Villa; he was on international duty when the Gunners lost to Man City.
And it seems that the club could have the option to move him on in the January transfer window.
Sport Witness carries a report from SportBILD claiming that there is interest from Germany in snapping him up.
He has a contract in north London until 2022 and the report states that Bayer Leverkusen are eyeing a move for Kolasinac at the turn of the year.
They are said to have money to spend, and the Bosnia and Herzegovina international is valued at £9m by Transfermarkt.

It seems bizarre that Arteta has arbitrarily decided that Kolasinac simply won’t be playing all that much for the Gunners this season.
The club have kept just two league clean sheets this season and actually won when they had the Bosnian in their backline in the second game of the campaign against the Hammers.
Since then, the Spaniard has left him out, and one has to think that he will be feeling hard done by.
It makes sense for the Gunners to cash in, as a result, as Kolasinac would surely welcome a fresh start in the Bundesliga.
If Leverkusen do come knocking, the north London side should be snapping their arm off.
