Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has claimed that Manchester United have spoken to his agent about a deal in the vicinity of £13 million.
"I know [Manchester] United are interested. My agent has established contact with them but that's all I know,” Jelavic told the Daily Record.
"My agent has mentioned a figure of £13 million and I came to Rangers for £4 million so it would be a big gain for the club.
“However, I would only think of a transfer in the summer."
Jelavic drew Manchester United’s attention after starring for the Rangers this season, scoring 18 goals in 26 appearances for the Scottish side.
While Sir Alex Ferguson is about to take the Manchester United squad to a record 19th title over the next two weeks, Rangers are about to clinch the SPL title, one point ahead of bitter rivals Celtic.
Jelavic has lavished in the success at Rangers, saying he will remember this title as the best he’s won so far.
"I'm fine here and enjoying every moment,” the United target said.
“The Rangers fans give me goosebumps - they really love me and I am looking forward to the Kilmarnock game on Sunday.
"If we win, it will be the first title I have won where I have been one of the key figures. I would call it my first real title."
