Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson will give midfielder Darren Fletcher every possible opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of the Champions League final against Barcelona.
The Scot made a brief appearance against Chelsea last weekend after spending nearly two months on the sidelines with an illness.
After missing the 2009 final after picking up a red card in the second-leg of the semi-final against Arsenal, Fletcher will now be given every possible chance of playing this time around, in United last two league games of the season.
"We want to give him a chance. He is back training every day and is now over his virus," Ferguson said.
"Darren played for the reserves on Wednesday, which has hopefully brought him on and we have Blackpool next week and Gary Neville's testimonial on the Tuesday before the final, so that gives us the opportunity to get him right."
United need just a point against Blackburn Rovers on Saturday to confirm their 19th league title in the same week that their final opponents confirmed their third successive La Liga title after drawing with Levante.
