Torquay United boss Paul Buckle has not ruled out the possibility of taking over as manager at Bristol Rovers this summer.

Buckle, whose side have a great chance of progressing to the League Two play-off final after a 2-0 win over Shrewsbury on Saturday, is reported to be one of a three-man shortlist for the vacant post at the Memorial Stadium.

"Four seasons is a long time to be at a club," he told BBC Radio Bristol.

"But I'm enjoying my time and if good things come along on the back of being successful here then that's great.

"I'm trying to improve, I'm trying to improve the club and I'm massively ambitious. I want to move on in my career.

"The club know that if an opportunity comes for me that's more appealing than what's here I'm not going to stand here and lie and say I'm not going to consider it or take it."
