Manchester City climbed above Arsenal into third place in the Barclays Premier League after a convincing win over Stoke City last night.

Captain Carlos Tevez was in sensational form at Eastlands, scoring either of a Jolean Lescott header, with the second goal a fabulous long-range free-kick.

After the game, City boss Roberto Mancini revealed he expects the Argentina international to remain with the club next season.

Elsewhere, Rafael van der Vaart says he has no intention of leaving Tottenham, insisting he wants 'to see what next season will bring'.


Rio Ferdinand has tipped Javier Hernandez to build on the success of his debut Manchester United season, claiming the young striker can go down in Old Trafford history.

Pepe Reina has committed his future to Liverpool, saying '…next season will be more positive and I want to be part of that'.

Finally, Real Madrid playmaker Kaka has played down suggestions he could join Chelsea in the summer.
