Port Vale have confirmed that the issues regarding Jim Gannon's departure as manager have now been resolved.

Gannon was relieved of his duties at Vale Park in March, less than three months after succeeding Micky Adams.

"I am very pleased that this has been resolved to the satisfaction of both parties," Vale chief executive Perry Deakin told the club's official website.

"On behalf of Port Vale, I would like to wish Mr Gannon the very best of luck for the future."

In a statement released through the League Managers' Association, Gannon added: "I am very pleased to say that all issues regarding my departure have been amicably and satisfactorily agreed.

"I wish the club all the best for the future, and I look forward to a speedy return to management full of enthusiasm and confidence."
