ALF opens door to Millers exit

Striker Adam Le Fondre is chasing a move away from Rotherham this summer.

The 24-year-old, who has scored 54 goals in 100 appearances for the Millers, has become frustrated at the club's inability to win promotion from League Two. Le Fondre has one year left on his contract at Don Valley, but wants to move to pastures new before the start of next season.

"I want to play higher, I don't really want to play in League Two," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.

"I want to play in the Championship or League One, I think I'm definitely good enough to play there.

"But obviously I can't change anything, it's on other people. But if I'm here, I'm here and I know I'll score goals in this division and everybody knows that.


"But if I get the opportunity to move on this summer and it's right for me and obviously everything's right then yes, I'd love to go and ply my trade at a higher club."
