No Morison bids accepted, say Lions

Millwall have denied reports claiming they have accepted a bid from Norwich for striker Steve Morison.

Promoted City have already had two offers, believed to be up to £2.1million, rejected for the 27-year-old Wales international.

Morison also slapped in a transfer request last week in a bid to force a move through but Millwall turned it down. A statement on the Lions' official website read: "Contrary to media speculation we would like to confirm that, at present, Millwall have not accepted a bid for striker Steve Morison."

Millwall are thought to be holding out for around £3million for the player they plucked from Stevenage for £130,000 two years ago.


He scored 17 goals this season as the London club finished ninth in the npower Championship.

The Canaries are looking to boost their attacking options ahead of their first season back in the top flight since 2004/05.
