Charlton have appointed Paul Hart as Academy director as part of an overhaul of the club's football management structure.
A detailed review of recruitment, scouting and youth Academy strategies at The Valley has led to the changes, which have also seen Jeff Vetere return as technical director following his brief spell at Aston Villa.
Hart, formerly of Nottingham Forest, Portsmouth, QPR and Crystal Palace among others, most recently parted ways with Swindon in late April having failed to prevent the Wiltshire club from suffering relegation during his 11-match stint as interim boss.
Elsewhere at Charlton, former chief scout Phil Chapple becomes scouting co-ordinator and technical director Keith Peacock is now football advisor. Steve Avory remains Academy manager.
Chairman Michael Slater told the club's official website: "After we took control of the club in January we instigated a strategic review of the football-related operations of the football club, which have resulted in these changes."
Also, the Addicks will appoint seven regional scouts and strengthen their match assessment operation to help manager Chris Powell assess opposing sides.
