Huddersfield have completed their first signing of the summer with the capture of Calum Woods from Dunfermline on a two-year deal.

The 24-year-old right-back was a free agent after his contract expired and signed for the Terriers after completing a medical and agreeing terms at the Galpharm Stadium.

Town manager Lee Clark said: "We are delighted to make Calum our first signing of the summer; his versatility was a big factor in signing him."

He added: "He has the ability to play anywhere across the back four and is comfortable on either foot.

"He was brought up in the Liverpool Academy and that shows as he is very comfortable on the ball and has a good range of passing.

"We have watched him for a long time; all the scouts and coaches who I have sent to go cast their eye over him have come back to me with positive feedback."

Woods said: "I received quite a lot of interest from other clubs, obviously my contract at Dunfermline was up and I was a free agent.

"As soon as I heard that Huddersfield were interested in me I knew where I wanted to go."
