Spanish starlet Jeffren Suarez is currently concentrating on the Euro Under-21 Championships, but the youngster says Liverpool have 'approached' him about a summer move, according to ESPN.

"The truth is that when teams like Liverpool are mentioned I am proud of their interest and we'll see what it does to me,” Suarez said.

Suarez has often been linked with a move to Liverpool over the course of the season, and while the 23-year-old has continually said he wanted to stay at Barcelona, Suarez appears to have changed his mind on only having one possible destination this summer.

While the forward has obviously considered a move to Liverpool, Suarez is insistent that he is concentrating on the first task ahead; the Euro Under-21 Championships.

"I do not think about that [transfer talk] now. I'm here and I am thinking about what we're doing [with Spain]," he said.

Suarez has had trouble getting game time for Barcelona this season, with Lionel Messi, David Villa and Pedro vying for his spot on the Spanish giants’ side.
