Toon Army marches into France

Newcastle United are set to make their first summer signing in the form of French midfielder
Yohan Cabaye.

The 25-year-old is expected to cost the Magpies £4.3 million and will become Alan Pardew's
first signing of what is expected to be a fruitful summer.

The Lille midfielder has been on international duty of late, hence delaying his move to
Tynside, where he'll fly to today to finalise a deal.

Pardew is also chasing down fellow Lille double winner Gervinho, who says he has made his
mind up over where his future lies.

Toon supporters are expecting a spending spree at St James's Park this summer, following
the sale of Andy Carroll for £35 million during the January transfer window.
