Arsenal have made a tentative approach to sign Liverpool target Eden Hazard, it has been claimed.
The Lille winger was quite sensational for the Ligue 1 champions least season, and is now being courted by number of the leading lights in European football.
Arsenal and Liverpool have both found themselves consistently linked with the 20-year-old Belgian in recent months and, according to the Daily Express, the former have 'made an enquiry' as to Hazard's potential availability.
It was previously reported by The Mirror that Liverpool had attempted to gazump Arsenal by making a formal £20 million offer for Hazard, which was rebuffed by Lille.
Along with the young winger, his teammate Gervinho has also been the subject of interest from both Liverpool and Arsenal.
However, according to talkSPORT, Arsenal have won the race for the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international, who will move the Emirates Stadium - and not Anfield - in the coming days.
This would seemingly put paid to the hopes of either Arsenal or Liverpool signing Hazard, as Lille have previously stated they would only cash-in on one of their prized assets this summer.
