Real Madrid will ask for £17.5 million for Lassana Diarra's signature from Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, report talkSPORT.

The French midfielder is expected to leave the Bernabeu, with Diarra keen to make the switch to the Premier League if he leaves.

But the £17.5 million asking price for Diarra may put off his potential suitors United and Tottenham.

Juventus and Fenebahce are said to also be interested but the bid submitted by the Turkish side falls short of the asking price that United and Spurs have been quotes.

If they're able to sell to United or Spurs, Madrid will use the money to assist there bid for Fabio Coentrao.
