Arsene Wenger is doing all he can to keep Samir Nasri, and will hold final talks with the Arsenal star over a possible move to Manchester United, according to the Daily Express.

Wenger had hoped that Nasri would not move to Arsenal’s rivals, recently telling reporters that while the midfielder may exit in the summer, he would not be going to Manchester United.

But despite Wenger’s comments, speculation has continued to grow that Samir is indeed ready for a move to Manchester United.

United star Patrice Evra in particular fuelled fire of a move for Nasri when he commented that the star should make the step up from Arsenal to the title winners.

“Each year it is a guarantee of a title,” Evra said.

“I have been at Manchester for five years now and I can’t remember how many trophies I have won. 13? 15?

“So, ‘Petit Prince’, if you want to become King you know where you have to go.”

Now Wenger is ready to make one last ditch effort to keep Nasri at Arsenal, and is very hopeful that he won’t have to face the 23-year-old as he continues to blossom on the field.
