Arsenal are looking at signing West Ham United stopper Robert Green, with the newly relegated star now a free agent, according to the Independent.
Green starred for West Ham this season, but with the club now relegated, the 31-year-old is looking for a Barclays Premier League club to join in the summer.
Arsenal would be well placed to take on the Englishman, and particularly with the fact that Green is now a free agent, Arsene Wenger will see the stopper as fitting in well with his frugal transfer policy.
Arsenal are on the look out for a keeper ever since Jens Lehmann left in 2007. While Lehmann made a brief return to Arsenal last season in the midst of a goalkeeper injury crisis, the Gunners hope to fill the position on a permanent basis during the transfer period.
Green has been with West Ham for six years now, after moving from Norwich in 2006.
