Fans of Premier League clubs will be able to re-enter stadiums on May 17th.

England's Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced his four-step plan to end the country’s pandemic lockdown on Monday and teams in the English top-flight will be given the green light to welcome back fans for the final round of fixtures in the 2020/21 season.

Up to 10,000 supporters - or 25% of a stadium's overall capacity - will be allowed to attend the matches.

The final round of Premier League fixtures this season are due to be played on May 23rd and they're all scheduled to kick-off at 4pm.

There are some tasty fixtures lined up for Gameweek 38, including Manchester vs Everton, Leicester vs Tottenham, Wolves vs Manchester United and Liverpool vs Crystal Palace.

Fulham will also host Newcastle United at Craven Cottage on May 23rd, a game that could be a final day battle to avoid relegation to the Championship.

Supporters will likely be in attendance for the Championship, League One and League Two play-off finals, with the three games scheduled at Wembley for the weekend commencing May 29th.

The FA have released the following statement after Johnson's announcement, per Mirror: "The FA is absolutely delighted that fans will be allowed back soon. The game is simply not the same without them and we look forward to the return of full stadia as soon as it is safe and possible."

Wembley will also host seven games at Euro 2020 throughout June and July, including both semi-finals and the final.

It is hoped that a significant number of fans will be allowed to attend those games, with The Sun reporting last week that the FA are hoping to have 27,000 in attendance at each of them.
