Manchester City will kick off the 2011/12 campaign with a home fixture against newly promoted Swansea City as Brendan Rodgers' side travel to the City of Manchester stadium for the first time in their history.

Roberto Mancini's side then face two tricky away trips to Bolton and Tottenham to complete August's fixtures before hosting Wigan Athletic followed by a trip to Fulham.

The first Manchester derby sees City go to Old Trafford on 22 October, with the return fixture at Eastlands on 28 April two games before the season finale against another of the promoted sides QPR.

The Citizens travel to West Brom on Boxing Day and face a tantalising encounter to see in the New Year when Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool visit on 2 January.

Apart from the home derby, City's run-in includes away trips to Norwich City, Wolves and Newcastle United, the latter game provisionally scheduled for FA Cup final day on 5 May.
