Stoke City manager Tony Pulis is expecting a big summer of spending during the transfer window.

Liverpool and Manchester United have already spent big this summer on Jordan Henderson and Phil Jones respectively.

And with the likes of Sunderland and Blackburn Rovers now in possession of significant funds, Pulis expects a busy summer.

"It's going to be an active market and an expensive market this year. The top six clubs are all looking to spend. That always filters through," the Potters boss told BBC Radio Stoke.

"Sunderland have sold big, Blackburn have sold big and there will be other clubs who will have a little bit of money in their pockets to go out and buy players," he said.
