Blackburn forward Nikola Kalinic wants to clear up the uncertainty over his career after dropping down the pecking order at Ewood Park towards the end of the season.

The Croatian striker is not sure where he stands having fallen out of favour, and wants clear- the-air talks with manager Steve Kean when they report for pre-season training next month.

Kalinic's agent Tomislav Erceg, said: “We want to talk to the coach as soon as possible so we know what happens next. Nikola Kalinic is contracted to Blackburn and so we will not talk about other clubs.

“There are a lot of clubs we believe who would want Niko. He needs to know if he is going to play for Blackburn first though. There is no problem with the club and if they want him to stay he will stay.”

The 23-year-old signed for Rovers in 2009 for £6 million and has scored 13 goals since his move from Hajduk Split.
