Paul Jewell has promised Ipswich fans there will be more arrivals at Portman Road before the season starts.

Ipswich kick-off their campaign at Bristol City on August 6, but Jewell expects his starting XI to change before then.

"I want to let the supporters know that we have a lot of business to do yet," said Jewell.

"I've probably been off the phone for about 10 minutes since last season ended. I know the fans want to see us sign five, six, seven players and we're looking to do that, but we have to be patient.

"There will definitely be more players at this football club for August 6. No question about that."

The Tractor Boys have so far drafted in in Michael Chopra from Cardiff and Ivar Ingimarsson and Nathan Ellington from Reading and Watford respectively.
