An iconic game and an intense rivalry, the North London derby isn't a fixture that needs much in the way of added spice.

Always something to look out for in the footballing calendar, some of the biggest names in European football have played their parts in its blockbuster history. Indeed, the likes of Jurgen Klinsmann, Paul Gascoigne and Thierry Henry have helped weave a tapestry of unforgettable moments in a game that will always hold a huge amount of significance in North London and beyond.

Often a spectacle in its own right, one of the biggest flashpoints in the rivalry's history was not played out at White Hart Lane or either of Arsenal's stadiums, of course. Few will need reminding of Sol Campbell's infamous move across the divide after he shocked the world and joined The Gunners on a free transfer in 2001.

One of the most discussed deals in Premier League history, Campbell has opened up on the impact his decision to join Arsene Wenger's side despite saying he'd stay at Spurs had on him when interviewed on The High Performance Podcast

The episode, hosted as ever by Jake Humphrey and Professor Damien Hughes, was released earlier today.

In the wake of yesterday's game, now seems a more apt time than ever to reflect on what Campbell had to say and GIVEMESPORTs exclusive partnership can bring you the quotes ahead of anyone else.

"Even though London is a huge city, there was like all eyes on me for at least the first couple of seasons," he said.

"Even though I was successful in the first year and won the double, I was under pressure and also injured.

"I came [to Arsenal] injured as well, so I started on the back foot. I had to get fit first and then get into the team. Looking back, I think the kind of [criticism] that was chucked at me by everyone who wants to put their ten pounds worth in, you just couldn't get away with it anymore."
