Tykes swoop for Addison

Barnsley have completed the signing of Miles Addison on loan from Derby.

The versatile 22-year-old, who signed a new two-year deal with the Rams last week, will remain at Oakwell until December 31.

Addison returned to full fitness during the second half of last season following 10 months on the sidelines recovering from foot surgery.

Derby signed Barnsley skipper Jason Shackell on a permanent basis last week for an undisclosed fee and Addison could fill the void at the heart of the Tykes' defence.

He will not be eligible to play against Derby when the two sides clash at Pride Park on September 27.
