Charlton have completed deals for sought-after midfielders Dale Stephens and Danny Green.

The Addicks fought off competition from a host of clubs to land the pair, who become manager Chris Powell`s seventh and eighth new signings this summer.

Stephens arrives at The Valley from League One rivals Oldham while Green returns to the club he left as a schoolboy from Dagenham & Redbridge.

Charlton paid undisclosed fees for the 22-year-old`s, both of whom have signed a three-year contracts.

"I am delighted that we have managed to get them. I think it shows out intention as a club," Powell told the club`s official website. "Dale is one of those creative midfielders who will score goals and create a lot as well. He is a talented player, easy on the eye.

"Danny is a clever player, a deliverer of balls into the box. He scores goals as well, he got into double figures last season and double figures for assists."
