Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are ready to go head-to-head for the signature of Eliaquim Mangala, according to

The 20-year-old has two years remaining on his current deal at Standard Liege and is reportedly available for £4 million.

Potential suitors for Mangala include Arsenal, who are desperate to increase their defensive options in the wake of a nightmare season, while Tottenham are also ready to express their interest with injury concerns surrounding Ledley King.


L'Equipe are reporting that Tottenham are eyeing up Mangala, but are worried by interest across Europe for the French Under-21 international, which has in the past included Arsenal.

Both Arsenal and Tottenham are interested in Gary Cahill, with the duo expected to battle with Manchester City for the Bolton defender's signature.
